    Nature Nuts: Summer! (Ages 3-4)

    Nature Nuts: Summer! (Ages 3-4)

    Description

    Bring your toddler to explore nature with Nature Nuts! What’s a butterfly’s favorite flower? Why do bees dance? How do seeds grow? This month we’ll be exploring pollinators and plants! There will be fun outdoor and hands-on activities including stories, crafts, games, and live animal interactions.

    This program is for children age 3-4 and their adult caregivers. Caregivers must remain with the child attending the class. You are welcome to bring children under 12 months to an older sibling's class at no additional fee.

    This is a four-week course, with the option to purchase single classes. Classes take place every Wednesday, 10-11am, from June 5-June 26. Class dates are June 5, June 12, June 19, June 26.

    Registration Information

    Cost: $50/member caregiver and child 4-week series*, $70/non-member caregiver and child 4-week series, $12.50/member single class, $17.50/non-member single class

    *Caregivers must remain with the child attending the class. You are welcome to bring children under 12 months to an older sibling’s class at no additional fee. Attending siblings 12 months or older should be registered for the class.

    Casting Lessons on the Pier

    Description

    Learn how to cast a fly, spin, or bait casting fishing rod on the historic North Pond Casting Pier. Lessons and equipment provided by The Anglers Club of Chicago & The Elliott Donnelley Chapter of Trout Unlimited. All ages and skill levels welcome. Weather permitting.

    From turtles to snakes, from rats to insects, there are a variety of critters that call the Nature Museum home. Join us in Mysteries of the Marsh to learn about their special diets and see our experts feed some of our animals.
