    Nature on Tap

    Adult & Teen

    Description

    Nature on Tap features adults-only access to the Nature Museum, including the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Highlights include a trivia game testing your knowledge with nature and science themed questions. The winning trivia team will receive the coveted Golden Cockroach trophy.

    Representatives will be here from the Endangered Species Print Project. This collaborative art project by Molly Schafer & Jenny Kendler features over fifteen artists and uses art to preserve biodiversity. To date, ESPP has raised over $12,000 for conservation teams working with more than twenty unique species.

    Cost: Free for members, $10/non-members. Admission includes access to all exhibits, crafty projects and participation in the trivia challenge.

    Gallery Talk: Endangered Species Print Project

    Description

    Join artists Jenny Kendler and Molly Schafer as they discuss the exhibition Rare Nature: The Endangered Species Print Project. ESPP works with artists to produce limited-edition art prints of critically endangered species. The number of prints available for each species corresponds to its wild population. Find out how art can help save the planet!

    Cost: Free with admission to Nature on Tap.

    Join us for a rejuvenating class in the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Students will leave class feeling energized, balanced and ready to take their practice off the mat and out into the world. Mats not provided. Space is limited and registration required.

    Chicago Botanical Artists Group

    Adult & Teen | Recurring Event: Second Monday of every month

    Description

    Chicago Botanical Artists is open to all botanical artists, beginners through advanced, who want to
    sketch together, share works in progress and develop a supportive community that exhibits and educates.
    The group will sketch native plants in and around the Nature Museum’s gardens, working outdoors when
    weather permits, or indoors with specimens.
