    Butterfly Haven Yoga

    Description

    Join us for a rejuvenating class in the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Students will leave class feeling energized, balanced and ready to take their practice off the mat and out into the world. Mats not provided. Space is limited and registration required.

    Nature on Tap

    Adult & Teen

    Description

    Nature on Tap features adults-only access to the Nature Museum, including the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Highlights include a trivia game testing your knowledge with nature and science themed questions. The winning trivia team will receive the coveted Golden Cockroach trophy.
    Cost: Free for members, $10/non-members. Admission includes access to all exhibits, crafty projects and participation in the trivia challenge.

    The Chemistry of Chocolate

    Adult & Teen

    Description

    Presented in Partnership with the Illinois Science Council

    This unique workshop on the Chemistry of Chocolate will be led by Dr. Shelby Hatch, chemistry faculty at Northwestern University, and Melissa Tisoncik, R&D Specialist with Blommer Chocolate Company. You'll do hands-on experiments with chocolate-y goodness and there will definitely be tasting opportunities. Plus, there will be a trivia quiz with prizes!

    Learn how to make your own terrarium with Nature Museum Horticulturist Seth Harper! Enjoy a presentation on the history of the terrarium and follow Seth's step-by-step instructions in this hands-on workshop. All materials provided.
    Cost: $30/member, $35/non-member.
