Why do we study animal behavior?
Webster defines behavior as: "Anything that an organism does involving action and response to stimulation." Neil A. Campbell in his book Biology refers to behavior as, "The most immediate means by which an animal interacts with its environment." Throughout history humans have been describing what animals do. However our understanding of how and why animals behave in certain ways has only recently begun. By using the below links explore the different elements of butterfly behavior.
