Online Learning

The Chicago del Sol program incorporates online learning with hands-on science inquiry. This page includes links to four online learning activities that can be enjoyed by students at home or at school, with or without a supporting lesson.

This page also includes a link to the major online interactive called for in the program proposal. This interactive was developed in conjunction with the Nature Museum exhibits department and is posted on kiosks in the City Science exhibit at the Museum.

Send feedback to the Nature Museum project coodinator about these online activities!

Webcasts
Due to technical limitations and difficulties at the Reilly school, only one of the two Webcasts called for in the program proposal was completed. This Webcast took place at the Nature Museum on March 20, 2002, as part of the Reilly school's participation in International Public Science Day 2002. Video clips from this event (though, not the actual Webcast itself), can be seen here. In lieu of the second Webcast, the Nature Museum project coordinator made an additional outreach teaching visit to the Reilly school and worked with Reilly students in their computer lab to explore the five online resources listed above.
