Mowing the Lawn

Greg Stimac’s images seek to capture some of the tedium, determination and satisfaction familiar to anyone who’s ever cut the grass. To catch his subjects in the act, Stimac drove the back roads cross country, listening for lawn mowers at every stop.

Greg Stimac is a graduate of Columbia College, where he was awarded an Albert P. Weisman Memorial Fellowship. His work has been shown at Bucket Rider Gallery, Museum of Contemporary Photography, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
