Sanctuary: Flight of the Majestic Monarch Exclusive Member Preview

Saturday, May 22, 9am-11am.

The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum is honored to present the U.S. premier of the exhibition, Sanctuary: Flight of the Majestic Monarch. This exhibit will transport visitors of all ages on the wings of the Monarch butterfly through its 2,500-mile flight from Canada through Chicago and the Midwest all the way to “sanctuaries” in the warm fir forests and beautiful mountains of Michoacán, Mexico.

Come be among the first to be immersed in this captivating exhibition of paintings, photography, multimedia video and sound installations through the perspectives of award winning Mexican artists.

Donation Request Requirements and Restrictions  

 

If you are interested in requesting a donation from the Nature Museum for an upcoming fundraiser, please fax a letter with event details on organization letterhead to 773-755-5119, attention to "Donation Request". You may also e-mail your request to donations@naturemuseum.org. All requests are reviewed on a first come, first serve basis, and must be submitted 6-8 weeks prior the event.  

 

Please note that due to the overwhelming number of requests we receive, we cannot respond to every one. The Museum will contact your organization if a donation is possible within a month of your event .


 

 

 



Nature Museum solar panels generated 28,681 kilowatt hours (kwh) of electricity in 2002.  That provides nearly 3% of the Museum’s electrical power.
