2010 Butterfly Ball
Friday, May 7

The Butterfly Ball is the Nature Museum’s annual gala and its largest fundraiser of the year. Funds raised at this premier event support the Museum’s education programs for Chicago students, teachers and families, conservation and research initiatives, exhibitions, and general operations.
The 2010 Butterfly Ball Co-Chairs are Mr. and Mrs. John C. Lahey of Solomon Cordwell and Buenz, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Richards of CDW, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Sandner of CME Group, and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn F. Tilton of United Airlines. This year’s theme, “In Flight,” celebrates the migratory path of the monarch butterfly from Mexico through the Midwest and north into Canada.
The Nature Museum serves as the urban connection to the world of nature and science in Chicago. We demonstrate our commitment to our mission through the choices we make for the Butterfly Ball to be the leading example of an environmentally responsible gala.
