Tsunami: Science and Hope SPECIAL EXHIBIT

Title: Tsunami: Science and Hope SPECIAL EXHIBIT
Audience: All Ages
Topic: N/A
Description: On December 26, 2004, a 9.1 Richter scale earthquake off Sumatra created a devastating tsunami that claimed more than 250,000 lives. The outpouring of support by the world was unprecedented, but work still continues as families rebuild their homes and lives. Featuring original photographs commissioned for the Nature Museum by Heifer International, this special exhibition examines how tsunamis occur and profiles hopeful stories of families in regions affected. Exhibition open through April 14.
